The Build-Up to PEGA-World 2023

The thrilling anticipation for PEGA-World 2023 begins several months prior to the event itself. From all-night planning sessions to meticulous fine-tuning of event schedules, the preparation phase proves to be one of the most resource-intensive, yet exhilarating periods of the year. 

As we approach the big day, a contagious frenzy grips everyone involved, escalating to fever pitch just before we take off. Yet, once we hit a critical stage, a wave of certainty washes over us, affirming that we're ready for what awaits.

Connections Made in Transit: The Prelude to PEGA-World

One of the unique facets of PEGA-World is that it doesn't just start at the event venue. Rather, it begins much earlier, at airports around the globe. It's become a tradition for attendees to start networking right from the lounges, gates, and even the baggage collection areas. This year was no different. During my journey, I encountered about a dozen fellow attendees, engaging in enlightening conversations that turned a bumpy, stormy flight into an enjoyable experience.

My journey concluded in Las Vegas, the man-made oasis in the Nevada desert, where an incredibly efficient registration system set up by Pegasystems was awaiting us. This impressive level of automation is something I look forward to each year and is a testament to Pega's technological prowess.

Pega's Keynote: A Shift in Focus to Generative-AI

Every PEGA-World revolves around a unique theme or trend, and this year was no exception. Generative-AI took center stage, becoming the focal point of many discussions and demonstrations. Yet, if you looked beyond the surface, you'd realize that there was a more significant shift happening in the industry.

People were increasingly focusing on the aspects of reliability, scalability, and value addition. Demonstrations of how Generative-AI can ease a developer's life by automating the creation of loan application components were testament to this shift. Pega's progressive approach towards scalability was particularly noticeable, with their move from cloud-native to cloud-agnostic solutions.

There were talks of microservice architecture, containerization, process mining, and distributed architecture—all pointing to Pega's technological evolution. A new iteration of Pega's Government Platform exemplified this evolution, providing agencies with a transformation tool that doesn't require ripping and replacing existing systems.

EvonSys: The Innovation Powerhouse

At EvonSys, we've always strived to demonstrate how innovative thinking can transform Pega's capabilities into maximum value addition for consumers. This year, we went the extra mile, showcasing our proprietary products such as People-HCM that integrate seamlessly with AI components like Customer Decision Hub, Intelligent Virtual Assistants, and even Generative-AI.

One of the highlights was the introduction of an accelerator developed by our technology team in partnership with business consulting. This tool can help manage the Revenue Incentive Planning program and has potential application across various manufacturing sectors. The response was tremendous, with attendees from different industries showing keen interest in our demo.

A Successful Showcase and Conclusion

Another significant attraction was the EvonSys Constellation Solution. After our CTO delivered a compelling speech about it, attendees flocked to our booth with questions and curiosity. Our tech team members were eager to dive into the ins and outs of the solution, which had the ability to transform legacy UI into the Constellation design, without any changes in the UI framework.

These moments of engagement and knowledge sharing painted a vivid picture of our success at PEGA-World 2023. Our booth was bustling with activity, with attendees expressing interest in our wide range of products and services.

As the event wound down, it felt like the two and a half days had flown by. PEGA-World is always an enriching experience, from the opportunity to learn new things and showcase innovation, to networking and forging new business connections. Despite the packed schedule, it offers a refreshing break from routine work. On my way back, I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy. It wasn't just the prospect of returning to my family, but also the satisfaction of the remarkable success that the EvonSys family had achieved. A hearty salute to everyone involved in this exciting journey!
